Deputies responded to a shooting at about 1 a.m. near First Street and Gage Avenue. They found a woman shot and her two young children in the house. The woman was taken to a hospital and her children were rescued.
The man was seen on video walking the streets with a gun in hand. Later, SWAT team members cornered the suspect with tanks. Deputies were forced to shoot and kill the suspect after the suspect shot first, deputies said.
