COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 22-year-old woman was arrested in Costa Mesa on suspicion of felony hit-and-run while driving under the influence hours after she posted a photo of her new car on Instagram.

Authorities said around 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 27, a male bicyclist was hit by a car near 19th Street and Monrovia Avenue. When officers arrived, the cyclist was alert and described the car as a gray Mercedes-Benz, according to the Orange County Register.

Authorities conducted a patrol check and found a car matching the man's description several blocks away, stopped in the road. Officers did a traffic stop and ended up conducting a DUI investigation on the driver.

Officers then arrested the driver, identified as Laguna Beach resident Aya Ibish, on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury and felony hit-and-run causing injury.

Ibish had posted a photo of herself and a new Mercedes-Benz on her Instagram account hours earlier, but the photo was later deleted and her account was made private.
