GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Firefighters battled a small brush fire that erupted in Griffith Park Saturday afternoon.
The fire burned heavy brush uphill, and many residents in the area reported seeing smoke billowing from the hills.
The fire was first reported to be 20 acres, but officials said the blaze was between 3 and 5 acres.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze by 4 p.m. No structures were threatened nor injuries reported, officials said.
The cause is under investigation.
