Aldi grocery chain offering hundreds of new jobs across Southern California

LOS ANGELES -- The newest California grocery chain, Aldi, is offering hundreds of new jobs across Southern California.

Friday, Aldi reps were at the Los Angeles Convention Center looking for shift manager positions. The job starts at $18 an hour, but you can make up to $23 an hour.

The company plans on opening 45 stores in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties by the end of 2016. They want to fill nearly 1,100 positions in that time.

More hiring events were scheduled for Monday in Claremont, Buena Park and Fountain Valley.
