Cathedral City mother, 2 kids reported missing

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. -- Cathedral City Police are looking for a mother and her two children who have been missing since Friday.

Dulce Aguero, 29, her 7-year-old daughter Alondra Aguero, and her 5-year-old son Joseph Diaz had dinner with a friend at a Cathedral City restaurant Friday night, May 16. After dinner she and her kids returned to the friend's home.

Aguero told her friend she was going on a church retreat and left with her children with an unidentified person. There was no description of the vehicle or the person.

Cathedral City Police said she did not attend any church retreat, and the children have been absent from school.

Aguero has no known transportation. Clothing descriptions of the family were not available.
