Photos: Colorado baby tips scales at nearly 14 pounds

A Colorado woman gave birth to a massive baby weighing 13 pounds and 13 ounces on Monday.

Mia Yasmin Garcia was born by C-section on Monday. Francisco Garcia, Mia's father, said the newborn's size shocked everyone including hospital staff, according to The Denver Post. The baby's mother Alisha Hernandez was expecting her newborn to only weigh seven pounds, but Mia ended up weighing nearly twice that amount.

The newborn was flown to Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO because she had trouble breathing. The baby later stabilized, according to The Denver Post. You can see the incredible pictures of newborn Mia and family in the gallery above.
