Family member detained in woman's killing in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman in Lancaster was killed Sunday and a family member has been detained in connection with her death, police said.

The incident happened on the 45300 block of 7th Street East and was reported just after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said the woman suffered blunt force trauma and died at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
