MIRACLE MILE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Supporters of Donald Trump protested in front of Gloria Allred's Los Angeles office on Tuesday, complaining that the attorney has been launching false allegations of sexual misconduct by the GOP presidential nominee.
Allred last week held a news conference with a contestant on "The Apprentice" who accused Trump of sexual assault at a Beverly Hills hotel in 2007.
The woman, Summer Zervos, alleged that she had contacted Trump for a meeting about a possible employment opportunity after she had appeared on his show the previous year.
During the meeting, she said, Trump made unwanted sexual contact, including grabbing her, kissing her and placing his hand on her breast.
Trump has denied the allegations, saying he never acted inappropriately with her or met her at a hotel.
A handful of Trump supporters showed up at Allred's office to protest her role in those allegations.
"My beef with Gloria Allred is she digs these women up and she used them in order to destroy the Republican candidate," said Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, a Trump supporter.
"She's a hypocrite and a liar. She just wants to stop Donald Trump and she's using these women for that purpose only."
Peterson and four other protesters tried to enter the building that houses Allred's offices, but they were turned away.
In fact, Allred was out of town, traveling from Philadelphia to New York on Tuesday. She released a statement to ABC7:
"This is not an issue of whether a man is a Republican or a Democrat," Allred said. "It is an issue of respect for women and women's right to be free of sexual assaults and sexual harassment."
