DOWNEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Surveillance cameras captured a man being pistol whipped and robbed at gunpoint in Downey on Sunday.
Downey police said the robbery happened in the 8200 block of Brunache Street just before 3 a.m.
Authorities said the victim was approached by an armed suspect who struck him in the head with the gun.
The suspect took cash from the victim, according to investigators.
A gray two-door 2013-2015 Scion TC was used during the robbery, officials said.
