NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Newport Beach at about 3:25 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake hit one mile east of Newport Beach, four miles southwest of Irvine and six miles east-southeast of Huntington Beach.
The USGS says the depth of the earthquake was just over four miles.
Several ABC7 viewers reached out and said they felt the earthquake in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Aliso Viejo, Irvine, Fountain Valley and Anaheim.
