Christine Cavanaugh, voice of 'Rugrats' Chuckie, dies at 51

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Christine Cavanaugh, the woman behind the voice of Chuckie Finster from "Rugrats" and other beloved children's characters, has died. She was 51.



Cavanaugh died in her home state of Utah Dec. 22, her sister Deionn Masock confirmed Tuesday. Cavanaugh's obituary was also published in the L.A. Times. A cause of death was not released.



The voice actress was known for her role as Chuckie, the overly-cautious toddler part of the "Rugrats" gang on the hit 1990s Nickelodeon cartoon. She also voiced Babe the pig in the 1995 film of the same name, Dexter on Cartoon Network's "Dexter's Laboratory" and Goslyn Duck from the "Dark Wing Duck" cartoon. Her live roles included an episode of "ER" and "Everybody Loves Raymond."



Cavanaugh is survived by her father, Kirt Johnson, brother Kirtis, and sister Deionn. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, and a handful of half siblings.
