HOLLYWOOD (KABC) -- He may be retired, but Vin Scully called one more at-bat Thursday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
The comedian convinced the broadcasting legend to make the call over a clip of a celebrity softball game from 12 years ago in which Kimmel hit a home run.
"Hi everybody and a very pleasant good evening to you wherever you may be," Scully starts off in that unmistakable voice beloved by Dodgers fans for so many decades.
The 88-year-old Scully retired at the end of the regular season this month after a record 67 years with the Dodgers, dating back to when the club was in Brooklyn.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" with Vin Scully airs tonight at 11:35 p.m. on ABC7.
