BREA, Calif. (KABC) -- To celebrate the opening of its Brea store, Blaze Pizza is offering free pizza all day to everyone who shows up at the store on Friday.

Blaze Pizza is trying to break their previous recording of giving out 1,773 free pizzas.

"We are adding extra staff so the line will move quickly, ensuring a limited wait time for guests," a Blaze Pizza spokesperson said in a statement.

The store, located at Brea's Gateway Shopping Center on West Imperial Highway, will be open 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday.

The first Blaze Pizza opened in Irvine in 2012. The Brea location is Blaze Pizza's 20th Southern California restaurant.
