Fullerton power restored for nearly 2,000

FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- An underground vault explosion knocked out power for nearly 2,000 SoCal Edison customers in Fullerton Saturday morning. At about noon, SoCal Edison tweeted out that power had been restored for all but 12 customers.

The outage began at about 9 a.m. in the area near Chapman and Raymond avenues, affecting 1,899 people. Crews were on site to restore power.

It was unclear what caused the explosion, Fullerton fire officials said. No injuries were reported.
