On May 8, Jennifer Closson Aprea uploaded a video to YouTube featuring her lip syncing her 4-year-old daughter's temper tantrum. As her daughter wails and screams, the Huntington Beach, Calif. mom and small business owner masterfully mimics her child's cries.

"Being four is rough, especially at bedtime. Being a parent of a four year old at bedtime is arguably rougher. Sometimes you just need to act silly and laugh to get through the rough moments," Jennifer wrote in the YouTube description.

The video quickly went viral, amassing over 1 million views with many viewers praising the mom for her funny parenting technique.

"Kudos to you for making the best of a bad situation and laughing it off. Maybe she didn't like it, but at least you kept your chin up," wrote one YouTube user.

"This was hilarious. If my mom did this to me as a kid, she would probably show it at my wedding and we would all die laughing," wrote another.

But other social media users criticized Jennifer for the video and how she handled the tantrum.

"She's immature and is acting more like a sibling to her daughter...time to grow up! The child deserves better," a YouTube user wrote.

Jennifer says that those who have been following her family for a while know that she and her daughter are good people.

Jennifer allowed her daughter "revenge" by letting her 4-year-old do a lip syncing video of her own.
