GARDENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Employees at a Gardena UPS Store came to the rescue of a man who was viciously attacked by two men, and the frightening incident was all captured on video.

The attack occurred last Thursday in the 17100 block of Western Avenue around 2 p.m. The victim had just left an area bank and was walking through a parking lot when he was approached by two men.

The two assailants knocked the victim to the ground. One suspect struck the victim with a yellow crowbar, police said. The men appeared to be after the victim's backpack.

That's when four workers from a nearby UPS Store jumped into action, rushing over to help the victim.

After the UPS workers intervened, the two attackers ran off, jumped into an awaiting white sedan and fled the scene.

The man who was attacked was not seriously injured.
