WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- The city of West Hollywood is hosting a free mobile hepatitis A vaccination clinic on Tuesday.
L.A. County Department of Public Health has declared an outbreak of hepatitis A in L.A. County. Gov. Jerry Brown also declared a state of emergency over the deadly outbreak in California.
The department says the majority of cases occurred in people who are homeless and/or use illicit drugs.
Health officials are hoping to reach people who are homeless and may not have access to preventive care.
Flu vaccinations will also be provided at the event, which will be held Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon in the south parking lot of Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard.
