Hillary Clinton in Buena Park for event; Bernie Sanders in Cathedral City

BUENA PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- The Democratic presidential hopefuls continued to campaign in Southern California Wednesday, with Hillary Clinton in Buena Park and Bernie Sanders in Cathedral City.

Clinton spoke to a crowd of about 500 people at about 10:30 a.m. at the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 324 in Buena Park. She was joined by actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

The former secretary of state then headed north for a rally in Salinas and later San Jose.

In her last few speeches, Clinton has no longer been focusing on Sanders. She has instead turned her attention to Donald Trump and the general election.

Sanders held a rally in the Coachella Valley, and then returned to Los Angeles County for a late-afternoon event at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster.

This was the fourth consecutive day Sanders campaigned in Los Angeles or Orange counties in advance of the June 7 California primary.

For Clinton, it was the third consecutive day she had been in Los Angeles or Orange counties. She spoke at fundraisers in Holmby Hills and Hancock Park on Monday, then held events Tuesday in South Los Angeles, Commerce and Riverside.

Meantime, Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee held a rally in Anaheim a day after violent protests erupted at his New Mexico rally.

Wednesday's rally turned violent as well, as protesters clashed with law enforcement outside the the Anaheim Convention Center.
