Husky found at end of chase gets new home
A husky named Chip, who was found at the end of a police chase, has been adopted after a family was chosen from hundreds of applicants.

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A husky named Chip, who was found at the end of a police chase, has been adopted after a family was chosen from hundreds of applicants.

"It is the story that made us fall in love with this dog," said LAPD Detective Michael Ventura.

The Siberian husky was found in the SUV of a chase suspect who shot a California Highway Patrol officer last month.

CHP Officer Felix Serpas survived his injuries and is still recovering. The suspect, John Garcia, was taken into custody and faces attempted murder charges.
