Suspect shot in Hyde Park officer-involved shooting

HYDE PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspect was shot in an officer-involved shooting in Hyde Park on Friday, according to authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department.

The shooting happened at about 8:45 p.m. near Slauson and Brynhurst avenues, authorities said.

Air7HD spotted more than 50 patrol cars at the scene, where a rowdy crowd may have started gathering prior to the shooting, police said.

There was no immediate word on the suspect's condition.
