BARSTOW, Calif. (KABC) -- A dust storm may have caused a multi-vehicle crash involving 10 big rigs and four sedans on the Interstate 40 in San Bernardino County, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Low visibility appeared to be a factor in the chain-reaction crash at around 10:30 a.m. Nine people were transported to a local hospital. Several patients were critically injured.
All lanes on eastbound Interstate 40 were temporarily closed at Fort Cady Road in Newberry Springs following the accident.
