LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. (KABC) -- A very special garden in La Canada Flintridge has been transformed with a spectacular light display for the holiday season.
The dazzling "Enchanted: Forest of Light," on display for the second year in a row at the Descanso Gardens, has been the site of several engagement proposals.
The nighttime experience includes a "Starlight Walk," where visitors can stroll under lights and foliage on a pathway in the venue's rose garden. Another display features hanging polygonal objects that are lighted from within -- one of several interactive installations.
Elsewhere at the location, some 4,000 tulips are illuminated with various colors in a sprawling field. At the "Lightwave Lake," guests are invited to control the movement of lights on the water's surface.
Tickets to "Forest of Light," which runs seven days a week through Jan. 7, must be purchased in advance and are nonrefundable. They are available at descansogardens.org.
The attraction is closed on Dec. 4 and 11, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
