CAMARILLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A Los Angeles County welfare worker was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old child in Camarillo, Ventura County Sheriff's Department officials said.

Luis Gonzalez, 62, was arrested for child molestation at his Atwater Village home. He is being held on $1.1 million bail.

Detectives allege that he has also sexually assaulted two others in incidents dating as early as 1998.

Gonzalez has worked for Los Angeles County as a welfare eligibility case worker for the past nine years, a position that provided him access to children. Sheriff's investigators believe there may be other victims.

Anyone with information about Gonzalez' activities is asked to call (805) 383-8791
