City of Laguna Beach closes beaches due to lightning storm

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Beaches in the city of Laguna Beach were closed Sunday due to lightning in the area.

The announcement of the closure was made around 1:30 p.m.

Officials said the beaches would reopen 30 minutes after the lighting storm passes.
