Protesters want 'Pillowcase Rapist' to leave

LAKE LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KABC) -- Demonstrators protested Saturday outside the Lake Los Angeles home of a recently released convicted serial rapist.

"I would like to see him gone, gone back to prison where he belongs. He is not our problem. We shouldn't have to deal with him," protestor Sandy Bell said.

Christopher Hubbart, 63, dubbed the "Pillowcase Rapist," was released from a mental hospital and moved into a Lake Los Angeles home on Wednesday. He is under 24-hour supervision through a GPS ankle monitor.

Hubbart sexually assaulted at least 40 women in the 1970s and 1980s. Most victims ranged in age from 25 to 35.

Hubbart often stalked his victims, entered their homes when they were alone at night, and raped them after placing a pillowcase over their heads, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.
