NORTH HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspected drunken driver was arrested early Monday morning after crashing into an LAPD police cruiser in North Hills, sending two officers to a hospital.
The LAPD cruiser was traveling westbound on Lassen Street approaching Hayvenhurst Avenue when a car traveling southbound allegedly ran a red light on Hayvenhurst and collided with the police car, according to police. The incident was reported at 1:25 a.m.
The two officers in the police car were hospitalized in Northridge with moderate injuries.
Three people were in the suspect vehicle. The adult Hispanic male driver of the suspect vehicle was evaluated and then arrested for felony DUI.
