'Laughter yoga' combines holistic medicine and spiritual discipline. Proponents say the practice can give you some real results.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Those familiar with yoga know that proper breathing technique is all-important - but what about laughing? "Laughter yoga" combines holistic medicine and spiritual discipline and can give you some real results.

The laughter movement started with just five people in 1995, and today thousands of laughter yoga clubs exist worldwide.

It strengthens your immune system, boosts your energy, diminishes pain and the list goes on. It's all because our bodies cannot differentiate between genuine and fake laughter.
