LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A balloon that got trapped in power lines Saturday triggered sporadic outages at the Los Angeles International Airport, resulting in over a dozen calls of stuck elevators.

The calls began coming in around 11:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No injuries have been reported and it's unclear exactly how many people were trapped inside.

Firefighters responded to the airport to "address" any stuck elevators. The outages did not disrupt any flights or the airfield itself.

Power was restored to most areas around 3 p.m.
