
Airport Fire burn scar area under evacuation warning
An evacuation warning was issued for the Airport Fire burn scar area Friday.
The voluntary evacuation warning went into effect at 4 p.m. and was issued by the Orange County Sheriff's Department due to potential flooding and debris flows.
Those in the following areas fall under the voluntary evacuation warning:
-Trabuco Creek, including the RC Airport, campground, and school
-Bell Canyon, including Starr Ranch
-Hot Springs Canyon, including Lazy-W Ranch
The American Red Cross will open a congregate (dormitory-style) shelter location for evacuated residents of the Canyons at 7 p.m.
The shelter will be located at the Foothill Ranch Library Program Annex, directly adjacent to the Foothill Ranch Library located at 27002 Cabriole Way in Foothill Ranch.
