Truck slams into Long Beach strip mall

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A truck slammed into a Long Beach business early Friday morning, leaving behind a big mess at a strip mall.

The single-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on the 5300 block of Atlantic Avenue.

The driver of the car was transported to an area hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Long Beach police are running tests to see if the driver was impaired due to drugs or alcohol.
