LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Long Beach police went door-to-door Thursday searching for witnesses who may provide information about two gunmen who killed a teenager and injured two others last year.

Sidney Wallace, 19, was gunned down in an alley near Locust Avenue and Hill Street in Long Beach in March 2013. Investigators said Wallace was talking with some friends when two suspects ran up and opened fire.

"Sidney is not a gang member. They don't yell any gang slogans, so they just come out and shoot at the group for no reason. We hope someone out here seen them go away or heard something in the neighborhood," Long Beach Police Sgt. Erik Herzog said.

The shooting occurred at 9 p.m. when the neighborhood was still full of activity. Detectives and family members hope someone will come forward. A $10,000 reward was being offered for information.

"I just want justice. That's all I ask for. If anybody has any information, anonymous, just please come forward," Sidney's cousin Tamara Turner said.

Wallace was set to graduate high school and was planning on joining the Navy. His mother still can't believe he's gone.

"He didn't deserve this and the people who did this to him need to be brought to justice," Wallace's mother LaTrice Smith said.
