LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Crissie is one of five dogs severely burned in the Antelope Valley in the last three months, and a pet rescue is asking the public for help with donations.
Doggy Smiles Rescue is paying for some of Crissie's medical care and the public charity has created a GoFundMe page for the animal.
All five dogs were found suffering from burn injuries on their backs from a corrosive material between July 20 and Aug. 20.
Police are still searching for suspects.
