WEST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Many attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Los Angeles National Cemetery for a Veterans Day tribute.
All events during the parade and ceremony honored the veterans who have served.
Some veterans said a simple acknowledgment when they wear their service hat can go a long way.

"Makes me feel good, the fact that they recognize it. There are so many that see it, recognize it and just keep right on walking," Vietnam War veteran Jack McDermitt said.
