Texas man sues woman because she texted during movie date

A woman sued by a Texas man for the price of a movie ticket is paying him for the ticket in the hopes he'll leave her alone.

Brandon Vezmar filed the suit after he said Crystal Cruz wouldn't stop texting during a movie.

He said when he suggested she go to the lobby to text, she left the theater and never returned.

Cruz said he was being rude and afterward began pestering her and members of her family on social media, saying she should pay for the ticket.

Cruz said she just wants to put the whole thing behind her.

"I've cried, I've laughed, I've been mad. This is insane. I just couldn't even believe it," she said.
