NAPA, Calif. (KABC) -- A home was knocked off of its foundation in a neighborhood that was hit hard by Sunday's 6.0 earthquake in Napa.

Neighbors said the quake was the scariest experience of their lives. The foundation of Rudy Garcia's home moved 6 feet up, and came to rest up against a Ford truck. Without it, the whole house would have tipped over.

Garcia was asleep at the time.

"Mother nature was pretty mean," he said. "It was a very scary experience. It was like hang on for dear life because things were falling and I could hear things crashing."

Garcia sustained minor injuries while rushing outside to turn off the power, but is OK.

"I feel very fortunate, very, very fortunate," he said.

Down the street, power crews worked on the Jacque family home. Their chimney came crashing down in the quake.

"It was shaking so hard, we were getting out of bed and getting thrown back into the bed," said Wendy Jacque. "It sounded like, more than a freight train, like my house was falling down. I actually thought my house is falling down. It was the scariest thing I ever experienced," said Wendy Jacque.

"We just held onto each other until we could get out of bed," said Dave Jacque. "All of our glassware came out of the cupboards. The chimney fell right between the two cars. It was crazy."
