PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A young man was fatally shot near Pacoima Charter Elementary School early Monday morning, and police are now searching for two male suspects who fled the scene on foot.

The shooting occurred near Van Nuys Boulevard and Norris Avenue shortly after 2 a.m.

Responding officers found a man, between 16 and 20 years old, suffering from an unknown number of gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the shooting may have been gang-related and are hoping surveillance video from a nearby 7-Eleven and housing complex will aid them in their investigation.
