2.7-magnitude earthquake rattles Simi Valley area

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.7 struck about 4 miles east, south east of Simi Valley on Tuesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake hit at 10:14 p.m. and had a depth of 6.7 miles. The epicenter was about 4 miles west of Chatsworth and 6 miles north west of Canoga Park.

No damage was immediately reported.
