A civilian helicopter crashed Thursday near the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, the U.S. Coast Guard in Hawaii said on Twitter.
Five people total were on board the helicopter, the Coast Guard said, including a 16-year-old boy, who was in critical condition following the crash, according to the Honolulu Emergency Services Department.
Two more passengers, a 50-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, were treated by EMS and taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The remaining passengers were treated on the scene. It is unclear where they were taken by ambulance or what the extent of their injuries were.
Bystanders jumped into the water to help the passengers, the Honolulu Emergency Services Department said.
And a NTSB representative will investigate the crash when he or she arrives in Hawaii tomorrow.
