NORWALK, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspicious package left behind by a bank robbery suspect in Norwalk has been rendered safe by a bomb squad, officials said Tuesday.
The robbery occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the Union Bank located at 12221 Norwalk Blvd. No injuries were reported.
According to sheriff's officials, the suspect left a note and a package with the teller, saying it was a bomb.
The bank and the surrounding areas were evacuated as authorities investigated the package. The suspect remains at large.
