LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was struck and killed by a Metro Blue Line train in Los Angeles Thursday morning, authorities said.
The incident occurred near 41st Street, north of the Vernon Station, at about 6:30 a.m., Metro spokesperson Anna Chen said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of kin.
Train service was suspended between the Washington and Vernon stations, and buses were brought in to accommodate rail passengers, Chen said.
