POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- The CHP is investigating if rain triggered a nasty rollover crash on the 71 Freeway in Pomona early Saturday morning.

The crash happened at 2 a.m. near the Holt Avenue exit.

Officers said the driver of a Chevy Tahoe lost control of the vehicle, crashed into the railing and then rolled over.

An eyewitness said the driver of that Tahoe was swerving from lane to lane.

"All that I saw was a telephone pole fall down, and I'm on the farther lane, and then right after I see the telephone poll fall down, I see his car flip," said witness Kyle Miller.

Officers said there were injuries, and one person was arrested. However, officials have not confirmed if the person arrested was the driver of the Tahoe.

It was not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
