EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The coroner's office has identified the 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot by suspects in a white four-door Dodge Charger in East Los Angeles Friday.

A makeshift memorial has since been placed at the intersection of Ditman Avenue and Sixth Street where Samuel Ramirez of Los Angeles was shot and killed. A 15-year-old boy was also shot and wounded.

Police say the two teenage boys were standing on the corner when several suspects in a white four-door Dodge Charger stopped in front of the boys, got out, and opened fire. The teens were rushed to a local hospital, where Ramirez later died.

The 15-year-old was treated for his injuries.

Detectives are still working to determine a motive for the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
