WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- An hours-long closure was reopened Sunday after a woman died in a solo-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway in West Covina, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck happened shortly before 6 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway at the Barranca Street off-ramp.
Apparently, the car slammed into construction barrels in the area, and the car's passenger was killed.
There was no word on the condition of driver.
The off-ramp to Barranca Street was closed while the investigation and clean up continued until about noon.
