VENICE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman was stabbed to death on a busy Venice street Monday night, and police were on the hunt for suspects.
Los Angeles police responded to the bloody scene near Windward and Pacific avenues at about 9:30 p.m.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead about an hour later, though it was not clear what injuries she sustained.
A bloody white SUV was seen along the popular tourist area, which is known for having a lot of restaurants and bars.
Police said the slashing started as an altercation between the woman and a group of suspects, which were only described as two women and one man.
The suspects were at large, and the scene remained under investigation, police said.
