North Hollywood pursuit ends in crash; 2 transported

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A pursuit suspect crashed into a car carrying a mother and her 14-month-old infant during a chase in North Hollywood Tuesday.

The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division said the pursuit ended at the intersection of Saticoy Street and Whitsett Avenue at 7:02 p.m.

The suspect was wanted for erratic driving, driving under the influence, paper plates and possession of narcotics.

The mother complained of pain. The baby was said to be OK. Both were transported to local hospitals.

The suspect is in police custody.
