Oil tycoon's ex-wife rejects $975 million divorce check

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KABC) -- It's the type of money most people would kill for. But for Sue Ann Arnall, nearly $1 billion just isn't enough.

Arnall, the ex-wife of Oklahoma oil tycoon Harold Hamm, maintains she helped her husband build their oil drilling company, Continental Resources, during their 26 years of marriage, and that the family fortune is worth as much as $18 billion.

Arnall says she will hold out for the half she is owed. Hamm maintains the company's worth has plummeted with the drastic fall in oil prices.

It could wind up being the most expensive divorce settlement in U.S. history.
