Oscars 2015: Key dates announced for 87th Oscars

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Key dates for the 87th Oscars were announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Thursday.

This year's Oscars was pushed back to March due to the Winter Olympics, but for 2015, the Academy moved it back to its normal slot in late February.

The Oscars will air live on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, with Oscar nominations being revealed on Jan. 15.

The Governors Awards will be held on Nov. 8, 2014.

The Scientific and Technical Awards will be presented on Feb. 7, and the nominees luncheon will be on Feb. 2.

The ceremonies will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and televised live on ABC7.
