PALMDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Palmdale, allegedly at the hands of her fiance.
The investigation began after a man showed up at a hospital in Palmdale around 10 a.m. and said he had assaulted his fiancee, detectives said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives went to his home in the 38500 block of 11th Street East, Palmdale to investigate.
They said they found a woman there who was deceased at the scene with apparent injuries to her upper torso, said Lt. Rodney Moore, with the LASD Homicide Bureau.
The man was detained and was cooperating with investigators.
