PARIS (KABC) -- Hundreds gathered at the iconic Eiffel Tower on Monday and held a moment of silence to honor the victims of the terror attacks in Paris.
At noon, a diverse crowd of people held hands in a giant circle around the base of the Eiffel Tower. The crowd included tourists, law enforcement officials, construction workers and soldiers.
At the conclusion of approximately two minutes of silence, the group burst into applause to mark the highly emotional moment.
About an hour later, a large crowd also gathered outside of the Louvre Museum, where the doors reopened for the first time following last week's terror attacks that killed 129 people.
