7-year-old boy fatally struck in Pasadena

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 7-year-old boy was struck and killed by a pickup truck while walking with his parents in Pasadena Saturday night, police said.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Hill Avenue and Colorado Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.

Pasadena police say the child was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. The investigation is ongoing, but police say there's no indication that drugs and alcohol were involved.
